We understand you're busy, but investing the time to set up salary packaging from the start will pay dividends. In fact, in Victoria for example, you can save nearly $3000 in tax by getting this right. Salary packaging allows you to pay certain, allowable expenses out of you pre-tax income, potentially saving you thousands. The rules are complex and depend on your hospital's provider plan, the timing of your rotations, and any outstanding HECS. Speak to one of our friendly doctors in training consultants who are up to date and can step you through the options for making the most of your hard-earned income.
At the recent AMAV careers expo, Bongiorno consultants, Ricky and Mitch spoke about the importance of getting salary packaging right and income tax for junior doctors.play video
